So I just got back from Ontario yesterday where I was competing in the Canadian Guitar Competition and I am very excited to be able to say that I placed 3rd. The Canadian Guitar Competition is held annually in conjunction with the Canadian Guitar Festival where you can catch some of the finest fingerstyle guitarists performing, hang out on Loughborough Lake and meet tons of other fingerstyle guitar fanatics. Needless to say it was both exciting and nerve racking to compete against many other great players. I would like to thank Del for putting on such a fabulous festival and hosting the competition and also the guys at Erikson Music for donating the prizes. I got to try out my Hagstrom guitar as soon as I got home and I love it. It sounds and plays great so I’m sure it will be a fine addition to my guitar collection, which seems to slowly but surely keep on growing.
On another note I’m well overdue to put up some recordings of more recent compositions that more accurately represent my playing as of now. I’m going to give a shot at the home recording thing so hang tight and hopefully I can figure it out and have some new pieces up on the music page soon. So make sure to check back and feel free to drop me a line on the contact page if you wish, I’m always eager to make new friends.
